You Play an Important Role in ending Childhood Lead Poisoning!
New York State Law and Regulations:

Children at ages 1 and 2 are required to have blood lead testing

Children ages 6 months to 6 years are required to be screened for risk of lead exposure. Any child found to be at risk must have a blood lead test

If a child has an elevated blood lead test, the health care provider must follow the rules and regulations for appropriate follow-up testing and medical management.

Guidance must be provided on lead poisoning prevention and risk reduction to families.

Anticipatory lead exposure prevention guidance must be provided to all parents of children under 6 years old, as a part of routine care.
