Tenants

New Home

Do you rent?

If you are living in a rental property that was built before 1978, there is likely lead somewhere in the dwelling. Ask you landlord about it!

If your rental unit ever had an open lead case, be aware that you have the right to a copy of the inspection report. This should be made available to you by your landlord (or property manager). If you have not received a copy, and you know that there was a lead inspection performed, reach out to your local health department.

Protect yourself and your family from lead hazards, always inform your landlord of any areas that need fixing and grant access to your unit for repairs to be made! Always work with your landlord
